ECA STANDS FOR ‘Electrochemical Activation’ which is the process that we use to produce all of our disinfection and cleaning products
What is HOCL (Hypochlorous Acid)?
Hypochlorous acid (HOCL) is a weak acid, generated by specialist electrolysis cells from water and salt. HOCL is one of the most effective disinfectants available in dilute solution and is 80 to 120 times more efficacious than sodium hypochlorite (bleach). Because HOCL has no charge and has a relatively low molecular weight it is better able than the other chlorine-based disinfectants to penetrate the cell walls. It also reacts more rapidly than other chlorine-based disinfectants to oxidation reactions with organic matter, i.e. the critical components of microbial cells.
HOCl is very safe for humans to use – it is a compound that is naturally synthesized by macroorganisms (including of course humans) as part of our natural defence against infections. White blood cells – neutrophils – seek out invasive pathogens like bacteria and viruses and destroy them using hypochlorous acid, binding with the unsaturated lipid layer and disrupting the cellular integrity.
HOCl is a powerful oxidising agent, killing the complete spectrum of bacteria, viruses and spores by destroying the cell membranes and proteins.
HOCl is recognised and approved as a biocide in the EU, UK, the US, Australia and many more countries.

ECA SOLUTION CAN BE USED IN THE OFFICE, EDUCATION, FOOD & DRINK, DENTAL HEALTH AND HOSPITALITY, TO NAME A FEW. IT HAS BEEN TESTED FOR USE IN THESE AND ANY SIMILAR ORGANISATION AND FACILITY
ECA solution versus other cleaning products
ECA solution is non-hazardous and non-toxic, and hypoallergenic, making it safe to apply by users. The solution is a combined cleaning agent and a powerful disinfectant, so cleaning and disinfection tasks can be completed in a single application. ECA solutions eliminate microorganisms virtually on contact – this is seen in this video. Click here to watch. This leads to more effective and efficient cleaning regimes by cleaning staff. Manufactured synthetic chemicals carry high carbon emission levels due to manufacturing process, transport, plastic containerisation, and package and waste disposal.
Using ECA systems and making cleaning and disinfectant solutions at the user’s site dramatically reduces the carbon footprint and environmental impact for the user and their company. Hypochlorous acid (HOCl) is the key active substance of ECA solutions. HOCl is naturally produced and mobilised by the human body to fight infections. In many countries, HOCl is used as a wound-care treatment or dental work to provide natural healing for infection control.
Because the human body recognises HOCl it means that ECA solution is not harmful or toxic. On the other hand, many synthetic cleaning and disinfection chemicals can be detrimental to skin and the respiratory system – as illustrated by the danger signs on containers. ECA solution application requires no PPE for users and requires no hazardous warning vectors on the solutions.
Information about the longevity of this product
We are committed to supporting our suppliers with accurate information and reasonable assistance where possible. To ensure clarity and transparency, we would like to outline the following points regarding the supply and use of our product.
Firstly, we do not hold specific documentation or test reports relating to the longevity or duration of effectiveness of the solution. Based on our experience and usage history, we understand the solution to remain effective for a reasonable period, and we have not encountered any issues relating to performance. However, due to the number of environmental and application variables involved, it is not possible for us to provide universal testing data that would be applicable to all scenarios or uses.
Secondly, we are happy to offer reasonable support and guidance where possible. However, we are unable to complete, submit, or manage application forms, regulatory documentation, or compliance paperwork on behalf of suppliers or third parties.
Thirdly we can provide test sheet to show PPM results
We cannot accept liability for any injury, loss, or damage resulting from the use of the solution in relation to human or animal applications. It is the responsibility of the supplier and end user to ensure that the product is used safely, appropriately, and in accordance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
